About Kat

I was born in Washington, DC where I worked as a graphic designer and publication specialist for the U.S. Democratic Policy Committee (under the leadership of Senator Thomas Daschle), and the U. S. Institute of Peace (where I designed and published several books). I freelanced for non-profit organizations, including Neighborworks America, the Close-up Foundation, and the Greater Washington Board of Trade. As an animal advocate, I volunteered my design work to 2nd Chance 4 Pets, and AnimalKind. In August of 2009, my husband and I moved to beautiful Roane County and we love it here!
